Prof Kiprop CatherineIGERD has the mandate from the university to implement performance contract targets under gender mainstreaming and disability mainstreaming.

  Gender mainstreaming

 IGERD board which draws representation from all sections of the university as each school through the dean  nominates a  representative to the board. The non academic sections also nominates a representative through the section head. The role of the board is to give policy direction with respect to implementation and planning of the university gender policy and the targets as set out in the performance contract as spelt out each financial year. The board is chaired by the deputy vice chancellor (Academic Affairs, Research and Extension)


Disability mainstreaming

The university is expected to mainstream disability into its activities and programs.  The disability committee is established in line with the requirements spelt out in the performance contract . The role of the disability committee is to plan, monitor and advise on matters related to disability mainstreaming within the university. The disability committee is chaired by the Deputy vice chancellor (Academic affairs , Research and Extension)
